Northbound Home started in a canal-side workshop in Saltaire in 2015 with one bench and a stubborn belief: furniture should be built like the pieces your grandparents still own.
Every order is cut, joined and oiled to order — there's no warehouse of flat boxes. Timber comes from FSC-certified forests, finishes are natural oils, and offcuts become the chopping boards we ship free with every order.

How long does delivery take?
Made-to-order pieces are built in 4–8 weeks depending on the design; in-stock pieces ship in 3 days. Everything is delivered by a two-person team who assemble it and take the packaging.
Do you assemble everything?
Yes — delivery includes assembly and packaging removal at no extra cost, mainland UK wide.
What is the 100-night trial?
Sleep on it, sit on it, live on it. If a piece isn't right within 100 nights, we collect it and refund you in full.
Can I order swatches first?
Yes — free timber and fabric swatch packs ship next day. Order yours via the contact details below, no purchase needed.
How do I care for oiled timber?
Wipe with a damp cloth and re-oil once a year with the care kit included free. Keep pieces clear of radiators and direct summer sun.
